Everybody has heard of Apple Inc. and, of course, Macintosh as well, as the company has developed and manufactured exceptional computers for quite some time now. Those that were not aware of the success of the company prior to last year surely heard much about the company after the passing of Steve Jobs. And even Steve Jobs is no longer a part of the company, his legacy of producing some of the best computer technology lives on. It was 1984 when the first Macintosh computer was introduced and since then the company, and its computers have come a ling way. This can be seen more than anything in the portable computers that the company manufactures. And although the MacBook Air was not one of the first laptops to be produced by Macintosh, it is definitely worth taking a look at.
MacBooks are considered some of the most well made laptop computers, even since the very first models hit the market, which was as early as 2006, especially among those that follow all of the latest technology. But, one of the best models to hit the market was the MacBook Air in 2008, a model that is still being made today, although with some major improvements. This particular MacBook was first produced as a 13.3 inch model and continued to be until 2011, and was considered one of the lightest laptop computers available at the time. The MacBook Air1 was manufactured with 2 GB of memory and an 80 GB hard drive, and featured an Intel Core Duo Processor with Intel GMA X3100 graphics. In addition, the early MacBook Air came with a lithium-ion polymer battery and only weighed 3 pounds. In fact, in the early marketing days it was even coined as the “World’s Thinnest Notebook.” In order to truly appreciate the early MacBook Air, though, it is important to take a more in-depth look at the design features of this very popular notebook computer.
Visual Design Features –
The original macBook Air was not only one of the most advanced notebook computers when it was introduced but also one of the best looking as well. It’s thin, sleek, modern design matched the times and was one of the most talked about factors regarding the new machine. This not only made it ultra-portable but less intrusive and more contemporary looking as well.
Technical Design
Aside from the technical design features already mentioned, there are a number of other MacBook Air desgin features that made this particular machine special, such as the glossy LED screen. This was quite a change from what were seeing in some other notebook models of the same time frame. In addition, the trackpad was, and still is, considered one of the more advanced of the times. One of the most highly sought after benefits of the MacBook Air, though, is its considerable improvement in battery life, since notebooks are made to be portable.
There is no doubt that the earliest MacBook Air was a decent machine, but as the years have gone by it has only improved even more. Few other notebook computers can stand up to those produced by Apple today.
